Skintones: Evanescent

I've got them finished, finally!

Been working on a new skintone set since December... or was it even November.




So I took mouseys skin as a base. The lips are love! I'm also a great fan of Rensim's nose, although I had to darken it manually on the lighter skintones. All skins were edited in Paint Tool SAI (which has maybe the most awesome tools!) to get rid of the pixelation as much as possible. Of course SimPE imported. Filesize smaller this time.
Title reference is pretty obvious, huh? Nine of my favorite songs, though not all of my favorites.

The skintone shades are very similar to pooklet's My Poor Lover set. I have my whole skintones folder based on it. Defaults are also the same skintone shades (2,3,5,6).

One rather important thing - Sexy-Feet enabled!!! Yay! I gave them Rensim's sexyfeet texture.

For creators (or if you want to edit the defaults):
TEXTURES

just let me mention that there will be only 11 textures for each color. File size reduction, you know. I use the EM texture for all EM-stages and also for the teen and adult fatties.

Files are 7z, a filesize thing. With winRAR you shouldn't have any problems. 7z is free anyways.

Well, they look perfect as is! The nose, the lips, the colors... I don't think I could possibly improve on them! You're too good.

But perhaps more blends would be fun. I haven't blended skins for a while, and I've been thinking about trying again. So... textures, yay!

I am *extremely* picky about my skin tones and when I got these in Body Shop, I almost orgasmed over how freaking perfect they are and I'm seriously contemplating getting rid of all my skintones with the exception of the Venice set and *maybe* Anva's. Thank you!

I don't really know if the geneticized version matches my previous defaults. This set is much lighter than the Candybars set as it's based on a lighter texture.
Just a warning so you don't accidently screw up anything with these skins ^^

I did check them out in Bodyshop and regeneticise some of them, but that only took ten minutes, so it wasn't a big deal :) Judging by my notes, the S2 moved to 0.20, and the S3 moved to 0.85, but everything else was pretty much right. Thanks, again :D

These look gorgeous, but I want to know (cause I'm hoping this is the case) if I need to download something else to make the sexy feet show up in my game, cause it would be really weird, for me, to have the sexy feet on my normal skintones, and regular feet on my supernatural skintones.

you need meshes with sexyfeet and/or bloom's sexyfeet replacements. It's all about meshes ^^
My skins just provide the meshes with a proper (rensim's) texture, but don't enable sexyfeet by themselves

Wow - these are incredible. I just downloaded them and checked them out in bodyshop and they're just gorgeous. No surprise, all of your stuff is.

Thanks so much for making these barbie from the waist down. I don't mind it on the female skins but it does make things easier on the male skins if you're using crammyboy's mod. One question - I know someone over on LJ offered to edit the Candybar skins to make them barbie from the waist down - did anything ever come of that? I'd love to get my hands on those as well, if it did happen - though these are going to keep me busy making Sims for a while:D

To be honest I haven't heard anything about semi-barbie versions of candybars-set by now. I didn't plan to make them, neither did I hear about anyone willing to do so.
I usually don't return to projects that old, so it's unlikely I'll ever do anything about that myself. If I have the option between redoing an old set and creating a new one, I choose the second.

Oh, I don't blame you at all for that. I'm the same way with my writing - I had to force myself to be. Otherwise I was forever going back and fiddling with stuff. It's too easy to never be satisfied with what you've done.

I wish I had the talent you guys have. I wouldn't trade my writing for anything, but I'd love to be able to do something as visually artistic as this. (And let's face it, it's tough to contribute to a visual medium like the Sims, when you're skills are textual.)
